If you remember the old “Chilling Prime and Set Powder” from the Beachfront Chilling days, consider this the glow-up. Same idea (prime and set), updated product name, updated tools, and a formula description that actually sounds like it knows what it’s doing.
Meet TOUCH BEHOLD Prime and Set Powder, a dual-purpose translucent powder designed to work before makeup as a primer and after makeup as a setting powder. It comes in a universal shade, so you do not have to overthink whether it will match your skin tone. It is meant to be suitable for all skin tones and types, and it focuses on four big wins:
- Long lasting
- Blurring
- Cooling
- Hydrating
Basically, it helps your makeup look smoother, stay put longer, and feel more comfortable while it’s doing the job.

What it is (and why it feels different)
TOUCH BEHOLD Prime and Set Powder is a finely milled, translucent powder that uses silica to help blur the look of imperfections, fine lines, and pores. The finish is described as silky-smooth and mattifying, which is what most of us are really asking for when we say, “I just want my makeup to stop sliding off my face by 2 PM.”
The cool part (literally) is the encapsulated water technology. When the powder hits your skin, it delivers a refreshing burst of hydrating coolness on contact. If you tend to run warm, live in a dry climate, or just like the feeling of something that does not make your face feel like it’s wearing a winter coat, this is a nice touch.

How to apply TOUCH BEHOLD Prime and Set Powder
You will use the same product two different ways depending on where you are in your routine.
To use as a primer (before makeup)
This is the “smooth the canvas” step. Think: blur first, then go in with foundation, concealer, whatever your face wants that day.
- Shake: Prior to removing the lid, tilt and gently shake to disperse product into the sifter.
- Twist lid to open: Open the lid so you can access the powder.
- Pick up product: Use a YOUNIQUE Powder Brush to pick up your desired amount of powder.
- Prime: Apply evenly over your face for a smooth, refreshed canvas (yes, you may feel that cooling sensation).
- Perfect: Follow with your complexion routine (foundation, concealer, etc.).
Linds tip: Start light. You can always add more, but if you go in like you’re seasoning a brisket, you will spend the next five minutes wondering why your face looks a little too “set.”
To use to set makeup (after makeup)
This is the “lock it in” step. Great for keeping shine down, reducing transfer, and helping your makeup wear longer.
- Shake: Prior to removing the lid, tilt and gently shake to disperse product into the sifter.
- Twist lid to open: Open the lid fully.
- Pick up product: Use a YOUNIQUE Powder Brush to pick up the desired amount.
- Set: Gently apply powder over your face to set makeup while enjoying that cooling sensation.
Linds tip: If you get shiny fastest in the T-zone, press and roll the brush lightly there first, then sweep what’s left across the rest of your face. It helps avoid that “why do I look dusty” moment.
Where this fits best in your routine
If you are a “minimal makeup” person, TOUCH BEHOLD can still pull its weight:
- On bare skin as a quick blur-and-go step
- Over sunscreen (once it has set) to reduce shine
- As a light set over concealer so it does not crease as much
If you are a full routine person, it’s even better:
- Primer step to smooth and help makeup grab on
- Final set step to extend wear and keep things looking clean
Final thoughts
If your makeup tends to fade, crease, or get shiny fast, this is one of those “quiet hero” products. It is not flashy, but it can make everything you put on top look more polished and last longer. And the cooling, hydrating feel is a nice bonus when most powders are out here trying to make our face feel like a chalkboard.
